I've been working to bring you some of the best Celtic related culture links on the web. As always I could use some help so if you know of a good site not listed here, feel free to mail me. Like the other sections this is still under some heavy construction so stay tuned. I will be updating this section weekly and eventually be adding some content of my own.

A to Z of Ancient Ireland
A very informative site for those of you that are interested in Celtic mythology and history.
Early British Kingdoms
One of several sites devoted to such topics. An extremely informative site worthy of Authurian legend. Check it out! Highly recommended.
King Aurthur and Early British Kingdoms
Whether a novice or an expert looking for information on King Aurthur and Early British Kingdoms, this is the place for you.
Celtic Origins
To begin the start on your own personal history check out this site that features genealogy services. For about $45 per hour they can give you a great deal of information about your ancestors. You can submit all the information you have on-line. The wonders of the web.
Celtica
Welsh Gaelic anything is grossly misrepresented. This site is dedicated to teach the world about the Welsh culture. Good content, and its written in English or in Welsh Gaelic if your up for a challenge. I've been to Whales, its the only place I've been where single car roads have 4 Q's and 2 Z's in their name.
Celtic Encyclopedia
A site that has almost everyone related to Celtic history in some manner, way, shape or form. A great way to get started in Celtic mythology and history , unfortunately it isn't complete.
Irish Ancestory
This site is sponsored by the Irish Times. Browse through some of their records, search for a surname, this site is very user friendly and free for some of the more basic information. For a few dollars more you have some added incentives of your search. I highly recommend you start here, the main reason is that the first few levels of information (sometime the hardest to find) are free. Secondly it's relatively cheap to get some more detailed information on what your looking for.
Irish Family History Foundation
This is another genealogy site that is government approved and claims to have access to a host of records that some of the other services do not. They offer a standard fee of about $70 US for an initial search and about $250 US for a comprehensive search of your past. I would recommend you start with this site first.
Irish History in Maps
The history of Ireland starting from the Ice Ages and the Arrival of Humans to the middle half of the 1800's.
Irish History on the Web
The best site so far that has general and some specific reference to Irish history. A great place to get started on all Irish history.
The Iron-Age Celtic Re-enactment Society
A site that promotes the real life re-enactment of the iron age people in the south of England. If you are ever in Portsmouth, England then look them up.
MYTHOGRAPHY
This small site features Celtic mythology (Roman and Greek as well). It specializes in the art inspired by the characters in mythology. Great design and a great site to visit.
Old Ireland
A great site that offers a whole bunch of things. Dealing primarily with history this is one of the best on-line resources I've come across. Has online chat rooms, old photographs, illustrated tours of all the counties and some great history resources, very , very impressive.
Scottish Ancestry
This site is basically a list of places to start looking for your Scottish ancestors. If you have some initial questions to get started you can contact a genealogist (via email) though this page.
Home of Vercingetorix - A Celtic Refuge
A very nicely designed site that features topics from Celtic tribes to gods and goddesses. Very informative, excellent place to look at. I highly recommend this site.
Virtual Ogham
A site that features the ancient cryptic writings of Ogham. This form of writing was used primarily as a way for Druid priests to communicate with each other. This site will get you started in writing Ogham characters in no time.


Links that don't really fit into any one category
Access Ireland
A site that features a Virtual Irish Pub, a virtual tour of Ireland by county among other things. The Pub isn't the best but may prove useful for information. The tour is more helpful if looking for information on traveling throughout Ireland.
Ancient Sites
A pretty advanced on-line community that has several sections to choose from. Taking mostly from ancient times (Egypt, Babylonia, Greece, Tara, etc.) you take on a personality (via avatar) and become one of the community. Friendly, free, and worth a trip by to chat with other people with your interests in Ancient Tara.
Anna's Wee Pages
A nice site with what seems to be original content about a lot of things: history, geography, proverbs. Worth a look.
A Bit O Irish
A strange little site that has some pretty interesting content including Old Irish Cures, and some folk wisdom.
Celtic Days
Make some room on your calendar. The Chapel Hill Celtic Society has outlined Celtic holidays for the entire year. Now if there was a legitimate excuse for taking them off we'd all feel better during the year. Check out the rest of the site for lots of other information of different Celtic topics.
CelticDom & LdyMystic
This is perhaps the weirdest Celtic site I've come across in my travels on the web. (But who am I to judge) This happens to provide a chat room like outlet for people interested in D/s & BDSM with a Celtic/Scottish twist. If you're into it, try this place out.
Celtic Earth
A pretty nice site that has a lot of related Celtic information ranging from literature to religion. He has a pretty small section of Irish literature, mythology and folklore and a rather small section of Celtic art he has found in his travels on the web. Some of the literature he provides is quite impressive. If your not sure what you're looking for try here.
My Celtic Page
A site that has a bit of everything. It's got quite a lot of information on several subjects, music, language, and art to name a few. Very nicely designed once inside.
Clannada Gadelica
A weird little site that in nothing short of pure information about a host of related Celtic topics such as Celtic culture to animal icons.
Facts About Ireland
Really doesn't need a review. If your looking for a little background information on Ireland: culture, politics, statistics then start here.
Gaelic and Gaelic Culture
A poorly designed site that has some really good information. It is devoted to language and culture of all the Gaels.
Information on the Irish State
This is the site of the Irish Government. If you wanted to find some information on the Guarda, Prime Minister, or one of the best armies in the world then check it out.
Ireland On-Line
Find out what's going on in Ireland right now. Basically the on-line gateway to the emerald isle.
Irish Heraldry
A site devoted to Irish heraldry. For a $15 fee you can get your coat of arms on paper, disk or even e-mail. 2,300 names in their index. It's a pretty neat place to visit.
Onyx Dimensions
I'm not sure how to classify this site. It has lots of information on paganism, magick and witchcraft. It does however have a few interesting bits of Celtic related information, constellations, herbology and links to a mailing list of Celtic lore. Interesting stuff.
Sara's Celtic Realm
A site that features a multitude of information and links to various resources. Has information about Druidic poetry, folk wisdom and a spot of history to boot.
Scottish Clan Crests
Digitized pictures of Scottish clan crests. If you're looking to part of a clan check out what you crest looks like, even translated from Latin to English for your convenience. I'm clan Ross: Success nourishes hope. Very cool site.
Scottish Highland and Celtic Festival Listings
A site that is just what it claims to be. Browse the listing by date and by region. If you like to see how they toss a caber than this is the place to start looking.
Trinity College
Probally the most famous of all Ireland's school because it houses the Book of Kells and a lot of Americans go there.
University College Cork
Homepage of UCC, one of the most popular schools in Ireland other than Dublin, Galway and Limerick. I was there but was suffering from the ill effects of food poisoning I got in Kilkenny. From what I saw it is really a cool place to go.

Who and what are Celts?
This is an incredible resource to begin learning about the Celts. This in one of the best pages I've been to. Has topics ranging from art and mythology to landscapes and law. I highly recommend starting here begin the quest to know of the Celts.

The Irish Times
Perhaps Ireland's largest and most popular newspaper The Irish Times gives up to date information in English and in Gaelic(the special Gaelic Section) on current events in Ireland and throughout the world. Want to see what's going on in downtown Dublin, check out their live feed.
RTÉ Radio
Radio Telefís Éireann: Small segments available of the current news in real audio format you can download audio files of Ireland's largest radio station.

Arechaeology of Ancient Ireland
A small text page offering a general overview of archaeology in Ireland. Good for some general information about some relatively recent digs.
Celtic Archaeology
If your interested in what's going on in the modern world of Celtic archaeology check out the archaeology department at the University of Wales. Stop by the Iron Age fort page to see how the Celts lives way back then.
The Celtic Coin Index
Yet another one of those sites that makes you wonder why it's there. This is the foremost authority on Celtic coinage on the web. Some great information, worth a look.
Dan-yr-Ogof Showcaves
If you every happen to find yourself in Wales and are looking to find out the ancient Celts lived during the Iron Age go here. The Dan-yr-Ogof showcaves offers a look at an Iron Age village. I wish I'd known about it when I was there.
Stone Pages
A Very comprehensive site dealing with stone circles, dolmens, standing stones, cairns, barrows and hillforts in Great Britain, Ireland, France and Italy. Want to check out a megalith before you actually go there, then this site is a must. Some great pictures if you would like to look at these megaliths from the comfort of you chair.

Beltane Fire Society
The Beltane Fire Festival is held every year during the night of 30th April on Calton Hill in Edinburgh. About 12 thousand people show up to play with fire. The festival is a pagan ritual that welcomes the end of winter and the birth of summer. If 12,000 people show up it must be pretty cool.
St Dubricius, Celtic Studies and Celtic Christianity
A site that has on-line papers, essays and dissertations pertaining to religion and even old Welsh poetry. Worth a trip by to find out more about Celtic Saints.
St Pactrick
A plain text site that offers a small amount of information on the patron Saint of Ireland, St. Patrick. If you want some more information on St. Patrick check out paddynet.com for three myths associated with him.

Donald MacDonald's Gaelic Pages
This man has an eloquent way with words and presses the importance of keeping Gaelic alive. If you are learning to speak this lovely language I highly recommend you check out this site to begin looking. Has some good information to start with that may not be available in the other sites.
Focal an Lae
If you aren't the committed to learning a new language all at once you could try this page. A Gaelic word a day won't keep the doctor away but won't be very taxing on the brain either.
Foreign Languages for Travelers
For those of you looking to pick up a few phrases of Gaelic to get you by (even though most of Ireland speaks English) check out this site. It has translation of over 70 languages including Welsh and Irish Gaelic.

Take Gaelic lessons taken from a real class featured at the U. of Minnesota. Impress your friends with your growing knowledge of Gaelic.
Gaelic and Gaelic Culture
Ever wanted to know how to speak Gaelic? This would be a good place to start. Its even got some audio files to see how far you're off with the pronunciations.

Online course in Gaelic written in German and English. Worth a trip if you don't want to pay for a course in Gaelic.
Lingo Lab
A site that has you repeat what you hear and it records it and compares it to the original. Requires a multimedia setup (microphone, soundcard w/ speakers). Download intensive so be prepared. Check out the rest of the site, Swim-Two-Birds for some great information services.
Pronunciation of Irish Gaelic
This site just deals with pronunciation of certain aspects of Irish Gaelic, vowels, consonants etc.. If you are just looking for some help with some tough pronunciation and don't want to go through some of the larger sites look here.
Sabhal Mór Ostaig
Scotland's Gaelic-medium Further Education college, taught entirely in Gaelic. If you know how to speak Gaelic and want to test your skills go here. If you want to hurt your brain trying to figure out how to speak it go here too. This site features an on-line literature section to test your skills in Gaelic with English translations.

Guinness
A technically tough page to maneuver through but once in it's well worth it. I've been to the brewery, the tour is disappointing but its worth the Guinness at the end. You can play games, download images, and even a screen saver. Excellent! Guinness is good for you.
Irish Recipe Collection
About 50+ traditional and non-traditional recipes. All of these are free and have some that other do not. Check it out.
Traditional Irish Recipes
About 15 recipes for traditional Irish food like, potato soup, Irish stew and a few alcohol related food recipes. Now all we need is some brown bread and a Guinness and we're all set. Also offers some recipes for England , Wales and Scotland.
You Gotta Have it Recipes
A rather large collection of traditional and not so traditional Irish recipes. I'm not sure if you have to pay for them or not, I started to download them and nothing funny happened so you may not have to.
Virtual Dublin Pub Crawl
If you've ever been to Ireland you know that there are more pubs per block that anywhere else in the galaxy. If you've been there and as a result couldn't remember where you went then retrace your steps here. If you haven't been there this is what it will look like sober. This site offers pictures of the outside of popular pubs. But if you were there you didn't really care about the outside now did you.
